How accessible is this website?
I have taken steps to make this website as accessible as possible, and while I've tested it thoroughly, I can't guarantee it's fully accessible to everyone yet.
The international guideline most accessibility law points at is WCAG 2.2 AA, and that is what I'm aiming for (and what I aim to achieve on client work as well). This site does not fully meet it yet, because testing against these guidelines is a work in progress as of writing.
This page goes over what was already done and what gaps remain.
What has been checked
- Every page opens with a "skip to content" link, so you don't have to tab your way past all the navigation links on every visit to access the main content.
- Every image has a description.
- Headings run in order on all pages, with no levels skipped.
- Text and links meet contrast requirements in both light and dark mode, across all three colour options.
- If your system is set to reduce motion, videos don't play on their own and the smooth scrolling switches itself off.
- Videos are always muted.
- The "Copy email address" buttons tell screen readers when they've worked.
What I haven't done yet
- I haven't tested this site with a screen reader, so I can't yet promise that every part of it works without a mouse.
- Some of my image and video descriptions name the asset rather than describing what it shows. I'm working through them as I come across them.
- Booking a 1-1 call with me takes place through cal.com, which is someone else's software. I haven't checked how well it works for everyone and I can't make any promises about its accessibility.
